Gomes, Michael, A., 54 recently of Woonsocket and a lifelong resident of Providence, passed away, at his home after a long illness. Michael was the son of the late Richard and Angela (Carillo) Gomes, he is survived by his two sons Michael and Richard and by his devoted sister Jackie Gomes and by his two grandchildren.

Mike was always a larger than life personality who you knew was in the room, he was tall and handsome and always generous with his huge smile and an even bigger bear hug to go with it, he was a loyal and trusted friend and the best big brother a girl could ever have. Mike loved everyone always calling to check on others even in his later days as he himself was not always feeling so well. He loved fast cars, good food. He loved to play cards and loved the casino's. Still, he will be missed mostly for his fun loving nature, his joking and mischievous ways and his lovable personality. He will always be remembered by many of us as the most thankful and grateful person we knew always reminding us to live in our gratefulness for which he will be sorely missed.

Visitation hours for Mike to which friends and family are respectfully invited to attend, will be held in the Berarducci Home, located at 26 Grove St., Friday morning from 9-11am with burial in St. Ann's Cemetery to immediately follow.
